Crypto Markets Into Year-End

👋 Hey, Crypto Enthusiasts! This is our special holiday edition and the final newsletter of the year. We will be taking a short break and will return after the holidays. We want to wish all of our readers a happy and restful holiday season.

🎄 In this edition, we’re sharing our expectations for the crypto market over the holiday period.

At the moment, Bitcoin continues to trade in a range between $84,000 and $95,000, while traditional stores of value such as gold and silver are pushing to new highs. This suggests that investor interest remains temporarily shifted away from crypto.

Holiday periods are typically characterized by low liquidity, so we expect Bitcoin to largely remain within its current range. There is a possibility of a move higher toward the $98,000 to $100,000 area, but this zone is likely to act as strong resistance and lead to a rejection.

✏️ Altcoins to Watch

If Bitcoin does retest the $98,000 to $100,000 levels, there are two altcoins that could perform well:

1. Uniswap (UNI)
   The Uniswap fee switch proposal is nearing completion, with only three days left and over 98% of voters in favor. This makes it certain that Uniswap will begin burning UNI tokens using protocol fees. In addition, 100 million UNI will be burned from the treasury after the proposal is approved. This represents a major catalyst and could make Uniswap one of the stronger performers during the holiday season.

2. Lighter
   The long awaited Lighter token is also expected to launch this month. According to Polymarket, there is an 87% probability of an airdrop in December, making it one of the most anticipated tokens to watch and potentially trade in the coming weeks.

These are the projects we believe are worth monitoring over the holiday season.

Given the expected low liquidity and choppy market conditions, we recommend avoiding overtrading. This period may be a good opportunity to step back and take a short break from the markets if you haven’t already.
